Job Description
Comfort Keepers is a national provider of in home care for the elderly and disabled adults. They have a live in caregiver position open at their Phoenix office. This means you will be living in the client's home for your working days and have your own room and meals provided. When your rotation is finished you go home on your days off.
It pays a lot more than hourly work due to the commitment that comes with live-in caregiving. It is well suited to someone who is happy to live in someone else’s home and develop a close daily relationship with an elderly client. If you can do this it pays well and accommodation is provided
Job Responsiblity:
- Live in the client's home during your working rotation
- Help the client with all personal care throughout the day
- Prepare all meals and make sure the client eats well
- Handle all light housekeeping in the home
- Take the client to appointments, the pharmacy, and anywhere else they need to go
- Give medication reminders on schedule every day
- Be available to assist the client if they need help during the night
- Keep daily records and stay in regular contact with the Comfort Keepers coordinator
- Communicate with family members about how the client is doing when appropriate
Pay and Schedule
- $180.00 – $220.00 per day based on experience and care needs
- 4 days on, 3 days off rotation
- Room and all meals provided during working days
- Weekly pay
- Consistent schedule agreed before your start date

Do I get my own private room during the live-in rotation?
Yes. All live-in placements include a private room for the caregiver. You will have your own space during your working days.
What if I need to leave the home during my days on?
You get reasonable personal time each day. Live-in caregiving is not 24 hours of non-stop work. Your coordinator will explain the daily schedule and expectations before you start.
Is live-in care suitable for someone without much experience?
Live-in roles are better suited to caregivers with some previous experience. If you are new to caregiving it is usually better to start with hourly shifts and build up to live-in work.
Requirements
- Right to work in the United States
- 21 years or older for live-in positions
- Comfortable living in a client's home for multiple days at a time
- A valid driver's license — you will be driving the client regularly
- Patient, reliable, and able to manage a household alongside care duties
- Clean background check required
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Previous caregiving or home care experience is strongly preferred for live-in roles
