Job Description
Microsoft's marketing team is looking for a Data Analyst to convert raw campaign data into something useful for their marketing managers. You’ll monitor performance across paid, organic and email channels, develop dashboards and flag what’s working and what isn’t.
Your numbers are what the marketing team relies on to make budget decisions. So speed is less important than accuracy here. Double check your work before it moves up the chain.
You will use Power BI daily. SQL is a must – you’ll be pulling your own data, not waiting around for a data engineering team for every request. Since most of your stakeholders are non-technical, translating numbers into plain language is a big part of this role.
Some weeks are all about campaign reporting. Others you are in a deep one-off analysis project. They both happen regularly.

Main Responsibilities
- Building and Managing Marketing Performance Dashboards in Power BI
- Pulling and cleaning campaign data with SQL
- Weekly analysis of results from paid search, social and email campaigns
- Communicating findings to marketing leads in plain non-technical language
- Spotting trends and recommending changes based on data
- Ability to create A/B tests and analyze the results
- Keeping documentation for all recurring reports
Required Skills:
- SQL for intermediate and advanced users
- Build Power BI or Tableau dashboards
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and Paid Media Platforms
- Good eye for detail – the numbers have to be right
- Clear written and verbal communications
- Skilled in managing multiple reporting deadlines at the same time
Requirements
Eligibility / Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, or related field
- Microsoft certifications in data or analytics are a plus
- Equivalent hands-on experience considered
💼 Experience Requirements
- 2+ years in a data or marketing analytics role
- Experience working with marketing teams directly
- Prior work at a large tech or media company is helpful
Salary: $78,000 – $98,000/year
