This is a primary care position so your day will be made up of seeing patients, managing chronic conditions, prescribing treatment plans, ordering labs and coordinating care with specialists. You do not work alone but as part of a team of doctors, medical assistants and care managers .

Responsibilities

• Routine wellness checks and full physical examinations
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health problems
• Write prescriptions and alter treatment regimens as indicated
• Order and interpret laboratory reports and diagnostic tests
• Arrange care with specialists and other care team members
• Accurately document all patient encounters in the EMR system
• Teach patients how to care for themselves and prevent future illness
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement activities

Skills Required

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Comfortable managing complex patients with multiple chronic conditions
• Good communication with patients, families, and care team members
• Proficient with EMR systems
